Missouri’s own hip-hop legend and avid Mizzou Tigers fan Nelly was on hand at the SEC Championship Game in Atlanta to cheer on the team and provide us with some insight on the exceptional Mizzou season.
“I always knew they had the talent, the capabilities to beat anyone, and this just proves it,” Nelly said. “It’s bigger than everybody on the team, it’s bigger than everybody watching, you know? It’s a great moment. The Show-Me State is riding!”
Nelly has always been a great supporter of Mizzou athletics, and his presence at the game helped symbolize that the state is unified in Mizzou support.
“It’s our second season in this conference so, you know, it’s going to be amazing to see what we do when we really get rooted,” Nelly said.
He couldn’t leave the short interview without giving out a quick “M-I-Z! Z-O-U!”
